Osagyefo Kwaw Fraiku IV met with the older women of the community, the revered grandmothers and matriarchs who are the bedrock of Shama’s culture. To them, he presented bundles of beautiful, high-quality clothes.

The gesture, simple yet deeply symbolic, honoured their lifelong contributions and ensured they felt seen and valued.“I have lived many, many years,” said Nana Ama, one of the beneficiaries, her hands gently resting on the new cloth. “But today, our King has made me feel like a queen. His heart is as large as his title.”The sentiment of awe was echoed by the traditional leadership. Nana Ntahiaka, the Chief of Aboadze, addressed the gathering with visible admiration.

“In all my years, since the day I was born, I have never witnessed a Paramount King who, out of pure, unadulterated love, has given back so much to his community in one day. Osagyefo is writing a new chapter in leadership, one defined by action and tangible love.”In his closing address to the assembled chiefs, elders, and community members, Osagyefo Kwaw Fraiku IV expressed his heartfelt gratitude for their presence and support. He, however, framed the day’s events not as an endpoint, but as a beginning.“What we have shared today—the care, the joy, the respect—must be the glue that binds us,” the Paramount Chief stated. “I thank you all, my fellow chiefs and my beloved people, for standing with me. But let this be a reminder that our strength lies in our unity. Only when we are united in purpose and vision can we truly move the Shama Traditional Area forward toward the prosperity we all deserve.”The day ended with a renewed sense of community spirit, leaving an indelible mark of a King who leads not from a distant throne, but from amidst his people, hand in hand, heart to heart.
